According to the survey conducted by the Hebrew-language daily Maariv, if elections were held in the occupied territories today, the opposition could form a cabinet.
The newspaper, analyzing the poll results, stated that the opposition has a greater chance of forming a cabinet than the current Israeli cabinet. The far-right party (currently in power) would secure only 49 seats and lose the rest.
The poll indicated that the loss of the governing coalition’s seats in the Knesset is due to the escalation of attacks aimed at occupying Gaza City and to Netanyahu’s warnings of international isolation in his speeches.
The survey found that 52% of Israelis do not trust Netanyahu, while only 44% expressed trust in him.
