Participation of the Secretary of High Council for Human Rights in the 60th session of the Human Rights Council
The Iranian human rights delegation, led by Naser Seraj, Deputy Chief of International Affairs of the Judiciary and Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights, will attend the 60th session of the UN Human Rights Council on Monday, September 24, 2025.
Mohammad Sargazi, Chairman of the Legal and Judicial Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), and Forouzanedeh Vadiati, Director-General of Women and Human Rights Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will accompany the Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights as members of the Iranian delegation.
The Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights will also take part in a side event — an interactive dialogue with Alena Douhan, the UN Special Rapporteur on the negative impact of unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights.
The theme of this interactive dialogue is: “The human rights impacts of the 12-day attack on Iran by the United States and the Zionist regime.”
The Secretary’s agenda in Geneva also includes participation and delivering a speech at the UN Human Rights Council, holding talks with officials from member states of the Council, and meeting with senior UN officials.
