Complaint filed against a Zionist soldier in Germany
According to Arab Journal, the 25-year-old soldier, who was born and raised in Munich and until recently had official residency in Germany, is suspected of participating in attacks against Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
The European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, along with three Palestinian human rights organizations, announced that the 130-page criminal complaint contains documented evidence, field investigations, as well as audio and video files.
According to this material, the accused was a member of the so-called “Ghost Unit” within the 202nd Paratrooper Battalion of the Israeli occupation army, which deliberately targeted Palestinian civilians during at least part of recent operations.
The case has been filed under Germany’s universal jurisdiction laws, which allow for the prosecution of individuals accused of international crimes if they hold German citizenship or were born on German soil.
Earlier this year, Zionist media outlets had already reported that pro-Palestinian organizations had filed more than 50 complaints in courts around the world against Israeli soldiers accused of committing war crimes in Gaza.
