Global isolation: Europe shuts doors on Israel’s far-right ministers
According to the announcement, starting today, Ben-Gvir and Smotrich will be prohibited from entering any of the 29 Schengen countries, which include most EU member states as well as some non-EU members.
Reuters reported that these two extremist Israeli ministers will not be allowed to travel to any Schengen member state.
The decision was made during a session of the Dutch parliament dedicated to discussions on the Gaza war and the two-state solution.
This move by the Netherlands comes as international pressure on the Israeli regime continues to grow daily over its war crimes in Gaza and its blockade of the territory.
Preventing senior Israeli officials from entering European soil is seen as a sign of a shifting international stance and the increasing isolation of the occupying regime on the global stage.
