The Longest Lunar Eclipse of the Century

On the evening of September 6, 2025, the skies over Iran and neighboring countries such as Iraq witnessed one of the rarest and longest lunar eclipses of the century. This total lunar eclipse, also known as the “Blood Moon,” occurred after seven years.
The eclipse began at 18:56 and became partially visible at 19:57, when the Moon entered the Earth’s shadow and gradually darkened. The eclipse ended at around 00:25 after midnight.
