Israeli army claims assassination of al-Qassam spokesman

According to Sama News, the Israeli army asserted that it had targeted and killed “a key figure” of the Hamas movement in Gaza City, located in the northern part of the Strip.

Channel 12 of the occupying regime’s television stated: the target of the Israeli army’s operation in Gaza, carried out in coordination with Shin Bet, was Abu Obaida, the spokesman of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.

Sky News also reported that the Israeli army, in its claim, announced it had targeted “a main operative” of Hamas in northern Gaza.

The army further declared that the individual assassinated was the spokesman of the al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing.
