Head of the Judiciary: Expedite the handling and advancement of cases involving elements that undermine public security

According to the Judiciary’s Media Center, on Tuesday (August 25), Mohseni Ejei, in a speech at the meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council, referred to the beginning of Government Week and stated: “We commemorate Government Week and salute the souls of all martyrs who served the people in government, including Martyrs Rajaei, Bahonar, and Raisi. We also honor the memory of the martyrs of September, including Martyrs Ghodousi, Lajevardi, and the martyrs of the recent imposed war, as well as commanders, scientists, and all martyrs of this sacred defense.”

Referring to the remarks of the Leader of the Revolution the day before, the Head of the Judiciary said: “The Supreme Leader, in his wise statements yesterday, once again emphasized the importance of preserving and strengthening national unity and cohesion, and called upon all officials, political groups, and segments of the people to pay attention to this vital matter. We hope everyone embraces the Leader’s prudent, sincere, and wise guidance wholeheartedly and acts upon it. As the Leader said, all branches must cooperate to the utmost, and, in his words, the country’s servants—especially the hard-working and tireless President—must be supported.”

The top judicial authority stressed: “The Judiciary, in fulfilling the orders of the Supreme Leader and its inherent duties and responsibilities, will—as always—be present in the field, making every effort to assist the government in solving people’s problems and strengthening security.”

The Chief Justice stated: “We strongly emphasize that prosecutors and other competent judicial officials must act with the utmost speed and precision in handling and advancing cases related to elements who undermine public security and cooperate with the Zionist regime.”

The Head of the Judiciary continued: “Competent judicial authorities must in no way neglect the scholarly and comprehensive fight against all forms of corruption. If there is delay or stagnation in this crucial task, the people will become disheartened.”

He further stressed: “We have a very important and grave duty—confronting the conspiracies of the enemies and neutralizing their plots. However, this crucial responsibility must not cause us to neglect other important obligations. We must never overlook ensuring investment security, assisting production growth, removing obstacles to production, and supporting producers and economic actors. In this path, we must increasingly make use of the people’s capacities.”

The Chief Justice emphasized: “The definitive policy of the system and the country is to defend the oppressed worldwide, especially the oppressed people of Gaza, as well as to support the Resistance. The Judiciary has valuable capacities in this regard that must be fully utilized—particularly through the High Council for Human Rights, the International Affairs Department of the Judiciary, the Office of the Prosecutor-General, and the Bar Association. Extensive and coherent legal action must be taken, both domestically and globally, against the Zionist criminals.”

Mohseni Ejei, continuing his remarks, referred to the heightened importance of explanation (tabyin) in the current situation and said: “Clarifying issues is an urgent need of the country today. The Supreme Leader has also strongly emphasized this matter. It must be correctly, fundamentally, reasonably, and convincingly explained to all why the U.S. regime bears hostility and animosity toward the Islamic Republic of Iran. Truly, one is astonished at some individuals who still have hopes that America would take steps for Iran! Or those who imagine that by looking to America, the country’s problems will be resolved! We must remain vigilant and not be deceived. We must distinguish friend from foe. Sometimes the enemy hides its iron fist in a velvet glove, and sometimes its iron hand is revealed. In all circumstances, we must fully recognize this vicious enemy and its plots.”

The Head of the Judiciary added: “Recently, a group calling itself political issued a statement in line with the enemy’s demands. Some people advised not to rush in judicially confronting the issuers of that statement, so that the people themselves, along with political and social currents, would give them a fitting response. This indeed happened: various groups and organizations condemned the issuance of such a statement. Even some individuals and factions aligned with the issuers expressed disgust at such an act, stating in different terms that those who issued the statement, at a time when the enemy has attacked and continues to threaten our country, had acted in line with the enemy’s wishes. They hoped, however, that by talking with the issuers, they would realize their mistake, declare disavowal, and admit negligence. In any case, I appreciate all those who convincingly condemned that statement. I hope those who issued it out of negligence or specific motives return from their mistaken path and correct their approach. Of course, it is natural that the Tehran Prosecutor will fulfill his legal duty in this regard.”

The Chief Justice, referring to the recent crime committed by enemy-linked mercenaries in martyring five police forces (FARAJA) in Iranshahr, Sistan and Baluchestan, said: “I extend congratulations and condolences to the noble families of these martyrs and to the Commander of FARAJA. All responsible bodies and institutions must strive to uproot the sources of such crimes and eradicate the perpetrators, agents, and supporters of these crimes against those who safeguard the people’s security.”
