Israel’s Kan network reported on Sunday morning that “Yossi Shelley,” the ambassador in Abu Dhabi, violated security protocols by publishing a photo of himself inside the embassy.
According to security officials, this act was considered a “serious error,” as posting such an image online could have exposed the embassy and the ambassador himself to threats, including drone attacks.
Following warnings from security authorities, Shelley was forced to delete the photo from social media.
Reports also noted that the Emirati government expressed concern and stressed the importance of strictly adhering to security regulations within diplomatic premises.
