Netanyahu’s trial to increase to three times a week
They announced that starting from November, court hearings in Netanyahu’s cases will take place three times weekly. The judges have also ordered an examination into the possibility of holding the hearings in the Beit Shemesh courthouse, with Netanyahu’s attendance.
They emphasized that after assessing venues in occupied Jerusalem, the Beit Shemesh Judicial Court was identified as a possible location that could meet security requirements.
Professional officials are required to submit their opinions on this matter by August 20.
Netanyahu faces separate charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of public trust in three different cases, and has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
He has been on trial since 2019 in cases known as 1000, 2000, and 4000. A verdict is not expected before at least 2026, after which Netanyahu will still have the option to appeal to the Supreme Court.
