Norway announces readiness to arrest Netanyahu
According to TASS, Andreas Kravik, Norway’s Deputy Foreign Minister, condemned the actions of what he called the “child-killing” Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip, stating that if Netanyahu were to enter Norwegian territory, Oslo would enforce the ICC’s order and place him under arrest.
Speaking about the dire and catastrophic humanitarian conditions in Gaza and in response to Tel Aviv’s recent attack on a journalists’ housing facility in the area, Kravik said: “Israel’s actions are completely unacceptable. In recent months, we have witnessed attacks on schools, hospitals, and journalists.”
Kravik also noted that Norway, along with several other countries, has imposed sanctions on Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
On November 21, 2024, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and using starvation as a weapon against the people of Gaza.
