64 shipping giants blacklisted by Yemen over Israel links
In an official statement, the center announced that 64 companies have been sanctioned for violating the ban imposed by Yemen's armed forces on ships linked to Israel or bound for occupied Palestinian ports. These companies are now prohibited from passing through the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden.
Sana'a stated that these companies ignored and violated clear warnings issued by the Yemeni military regarding engagement with the Israeli regime.
According to Yemen’s official news agency SABA, the coordination center emphasized that the sanctions were imposed due to violations of the maritime blockade against the Israeli enemy.
The statement further explained that, since the start of the maritime blockade, Yemeni authorities have contacted the owners of the violating ships and informed them that their vessels would face sanctions due to their disregard for repeated messages and warnings prior to docking at occupied ports.
The Yemeni body also held the shipping companies fully responsible for the consequences of the imposed sanctions and warned that such punitive measures will continue regardless of the companies’ nationalities.
