Major General Hatami: We do not consider the enemy’s threat over
According to the Army’s Public Relations Office, Major General Amir Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, speaking to senior commanders and officials of the Army Ground Force, said: “The Zionist regime is a hostile enemy whose crimes and brutality toward the Iranian nation we witnessed during the imposed 12-day war. This enemy is well-known to us, and over the past two years in Gaza — and throughout its cursed history of less than 80 years — we have repeatedly seen its savagery in aggressions against other countries.”
He added: “Despite enduring losses such as the martyrdom of dear commanders, prominent scientists, and honorable compatriots in this imposed war, by God’s grace and thanks to the courage of our warriors and the resistance of the people, we emerged victorious in this unequal confrontation. We inflicted serious damage on the enemy and thwarted its objectives.”
Major General Hatami stressed: “The missile and drone power of the Islamic system remains strong and operational — just as we continued our strikes until the last moment before the ceasefire was imposed. In the defense industry, in science and technology, and in all related fields, we will move forward more determinedly than before.”
The Commander-in-Chief noted: “Global arrogance opposes the Islamic Republic of Iran because of our religious and national identity and because of Iran’s march toward the peaks of knowledge. Today, thanks to God, all branches of the Armed Forces, including the four branches of the Army, are moving faster toward scientific and technological advancement, and more determined than ever to strengthen combat readiness and preparedness for comprehensive defense.”
Referring to the guidance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces (May God protect him) — that “even a 1% threat must be regarded as a 100% threat” — Hatami stressed: “We must never underestimate the enemy or consider its threat to be over.”
He added: “The enemy, under the illusion of harming the Islamic system, had prepared various plots, but the Iranian people, with extraordinary unity and solidarity, dealt them a severe blow. The determination, cohesion, and unity between the people, the Armed Forces, and officials — demonstrated in practice — was unbelievable to the enemies and many observers. Major events such as the ‘Fridays of Rage and Victory’ and the magnificent funeral processions for the martyrs were examples of the will and solidarity of a great, heroic nation that, under the wise and courageous leadership of Imam Khamenei, defended the territorial integrity and independence of the country more powerfully than ever before. The Zionist regime, seeing the miraculous steadfastness of the Iranian nation, realized it had committed a strategic miscalculation.”
Pointing to the readiness of the Army Ground Force, Hatami said: “Throughout the history of the Islamic Revolution, the Ground Force has distinguished itself — whether in countering anti-revolutionary groups in western Iran or during the Sacred Defense — earning praise from Imam Khomeini (may God be pleased with him) and the noble people of Iran. In subsequent periods as well, in every test — from repelling threats to assisting the public and responding to natural disasters — it has emerged with honor and is recognized as a skilled, well-trained, capable, and people-oriented force. It has repeatedly earned the praise of the Supreme Leader and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.”
Highlighting the importance of constant vigilance in defending the nation’s borders, and paying tribute to the “Martyr of Authority,” Brigadier General Ali Hossein Mohammadi — the brave commander of the 71st Abu Dharr Brigade who was martyred alongside several Ground Force warriors while safeguarding Iran’s western borders — Hatami said: “Thanks to the dedication and efforts of Ground Force commanders and warriors, the readiness and capability of this force are now incomparable to previous periods. During the 12-day war, the Ground Force played a decisive role and ensured that our border security was not compromised.”
He emphasized: “Through well-devised plans and programs, the Ground Force has made significant progress in combat capability, mobility, and the expansion of intelligence and operational capacities.”
Hatami concluded: “During these 12 days, there were countless acts of exceptional bravery by our air defense forces, valuable operations by the Ground Force, and the devoted efforts of our Air Force and Navy — many of which will be shared with the noble people of Iran in due time.”
