62% of Israelis support reaching an agreement with Hamas
According to a poll conducted by Israel’s Channel 12, 62% of Israelis want a comprehensive deal with Hamas under which all captives held in Gaza would be freed.
The poll also found that 49% of Israelis oppose settlement construction in the Gaza Strip, while 36% support it.
In addition, 55% of Israelis expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Meanwhile, results from the latest surveys in the occupied territories indicate that, amid growing international awareness and condemnation of the scale of genocide and famine in Gaza, 56% of Israeli settlers are afraid to travel abroad.
Channel 12’s poll showed that 56% of Israelis fear traveling overseas due to mounting international criticism of Israel.
In this context, the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported: “Israeli tourists, because of the Gaza war, are being assaulted and treated with humiliation in restaurants, streets, and hotels around the world.”
Enrique Zimmerman, an Israeli international affairs expert, previously voiced concern, saying: “The things we are hearing now around the world about Israel are very harsh, and their consequences will be felt in the years to come. Israel is more isolated than ever before.”
