Gharib Abadi reports on Istanbul talks: Iran’s position on Snapback mechanism presented
Kazem Gharib Abadi, Deputy for Legal and International Affairs at Iran’s Foreign Ministry, stated that clear and detailed negotiations were held in Istanbul with senior officials from the three European countries, and both sides agreed to continue consultations.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Gharib Abadi wrote:
“Dr. Takht-Ravanchi and I held serious, frank, and extensive discussions with the political directors of the three European countries and the European Union.”
He added:
“The latest developments regarding sanctions relief and the nuclear issue were discussed. While firmly criticizing their positions on the recent aggressive war against our people, we also clarified Iran’s principled stance, including on the so-called 'snapback' mechanism.”
The deputy foreign minister emphasized that both sides came to the meeting with specific ideas, which were examined in various aspects. It was agreed that consultations on the matter will continue.
