Abu Ubaida: Our strategy is to capture Israeli soldiers
Abu Ubaida, referring to the passage of four months since the renewal of the war on Gaza, said: “With this war, the enemy seeks to complete its sadistic campaign against Palestinian civilians and children, allowing the criminal gangs of this regime to continue their systematic destruction of our cities.”
He emphasized that the resistance forces have responded to the Zionist operations—dubbed ‘Gideon’s Chariots’—with fierce counterattacks, adding: “Over the past four months, we have killed and wounded hundreds of Israeli soldiers.”
Highlighting that the so-called ‘Gideon’s Chariots’ operations were based on biblical myths and satanic acts, Abu Ubaida said: “During our capture operations, we came close to success multiple times, but Israel deliberately killed those soldiers to prevent them from being taken alive as prisoners.”
Abu Ubaida described the Gaza resistance as “the greatest school of popular armed resistance against occupiers in modern history,” asserting that the fighters are prepared to wage a prolonged war of attrition against the Zionist military.
He stressed that Hamas forces, alongside other resistance groups, continue the fight with unparalleled faith and courage, stating: “Our current strategy is to inflict casualties on the enemy, conduct targeted operations, and capture Israeli soldiers whenever possible.”
He further declared: “We have no choice but to fight with full strength and resilience. If the Israeli terrorist cabinet insists on continuing its genocide, it should expect to receive the bodies of more of its soldiers and officers.”
Abu Ubaida noted that resistance forces are surprising the enemy with new tactics and methods, and have gained valuable experience from the longest war in their history.
“We are confronting an enemy supported by the most oppressive powers in the world, who continue to arm it while the Muslim world watches in silence.”
The spokesman expressed gratitude to the people and government of Yemen for their support of Gaza, saying: “Our sincere brothers in Ansarullah have opened an important front against the enemy and have left no excuse for those who have surrendered. We salute all the free people of the world who are striving to show solidarity, break the siege, and lift oppression from our people.”
Abu Ubaida reaffirmed full support for the position of the Palestinian resistance negotiating team in indirect talks with Israel, noting: “In recent months, we have proposed a comprehensive deal to hand over all Israeli prisoners at once, but the criminal Netanyahu and his ministers have rejected our proposals. This proves that they care nothing for Israeli lives.”
He concluded: “It is clear that Israeli prisoners are not a priority for Netanyahu and his ministers. We are monitoring the negotiations and hope they lead to an agreement that ends the genocide and ensures Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza. However, if the enemy sabotages this round of talks, there will be no guarantee that we will pursue partial deals, or even agree to offers involving the release of 10 Israeli prisoners.”
