The UN’s Inverted View of Syrian Developments
Mohammad Qaderi / International Relations Analyst - UN officials would rather see the current situation in Syria in reverse, despite the fact that the convergence of extremist, terrorist, hostile, and opposition groups in Damascus and other Syrian cities is causing concerns about the establishment of sustainable security and the future of the nation in the upcoming years, months, and weeks.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that now is the time for the international community to support the emerging spirit for the reconstruction of Syria. In other words, the UN has portrayed the situation so that it appears that there is essentially no other concern left in Damascus and that all groups are waiting for the reconstruction of Syria and its transformation into a free and development-oriented country, all while omitting the crucial requirement for building or rebuilding a nation (sustainable security)!
The UN's detrimental and deterrent role in relation to the current events in Syria and the region is demonstrated by this inaccurate address, which is unlikely to have been accidentally communicated to public opinion. Not only did the UN do nothing to eradicate the evidence of Takfiri terrorism from Syria and Iraq between 2011 and 2018, but it also enabled their continued toxic existence by keeping silent about the heinous crimes committed by the US's bloodthirsty pawns and the Zionist regime in the region.
The United Nations statements on Syria and its future were issued when ISIS was destroyed by the Resistance Front and its self-proclaimed caliphate in Syria and Iraq was crushed. Even now, the United Nations does not pay the slightest attention to the main need of the region and even the Syrian citizens, which is the crystallization of sustainable security and preventing the growth of aggressor and terrorist groups on the soil of their country.
Furthermore, as if there had been no incident or aggression and the occupying regime of Jerusalem had the right to occupy any part of Syrian territory at any time, the UN does nothing to stop the Zionist regime's occupation and aggression in the Golan and Quneitra.
The black record of the United Nations in relation to international and regional developments leaves no room for defending this pretentious but ineffectual organization. United Nations officials say that the international community must support the emerging spirit for the reconstruction of Syria. The emerging spirit that Abu Muhammad al-Julani and his companions are the product of certainly does not promise a better tomorrow for the Syrians. A truth that Antonio Guterres and senior United Nations officials have very clumsily ignored.
