Gaza burns while the world watches in silence

Israeli forces have intensified deliberate and direct attacks on Palestinian civilians, increasingly targeting shelters and tents housing displaced people. This escalation reflects a clear policy aimed at advancing genocidal acts in the Gaza Strip, all under the shadow of an unjustifiable legal and moral silence from the international community.
In recent days, Israeli warplanes have carried out a series of heavy airstrikes on densely populated residential areas in Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of hundreds of civilians — including women and children — and leaving hundreds more injured.
These attacks are part of a systematic policy to destroy Gaza’s social fabric and basic living foundations by targeting civilians in their homes and displacement camps. This is part of a genocide campaign aimed at erasing the Palestinian presence, forcibly depopulating Gaza, and leaving those who remain under conditions of starvation, terror, and continuous assault.
The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor reported that the Israeli attacks are neither random nor isolated but follow a recurring and systematic pattern of targeting displaced people already deprived of basic aid and food. These attacks represent a deliberate policy of forced displacement and depopulation.
Over the past few days, the Israeli military has significantly intensified its air and artillery bombardments in multiple areas in both northern and southern Gaza. Most of the casualties have occurred inside shelters and tents or during attempts to obtain food and water — whether in markets or near aid distribution centers. These so-called aid centers (backed by Israel and the U.S.) have effectively become tools for killing and humiliation.
The Zionist regime is expanding its killing campaign as part of a broader escalation and has adopted a scorched-earth policy — systematically destroying the remaining neighborhoods and infrastructure in Gaza. This ongoing strategy, marked by over 20 months of mass killings, starvation, and deliberate dismantling of basic life systems, is clearly aimed at wiping out the Palestinian community in Gaza and eliminating any prospects for rebuilding.
These crimes follow a consistent pattern of targeting civilians gathered near humanitarian aid distribution points established in central and southern Gaza. Each time residents try to access basic necessities, massacres occur — in blatant violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the principles of civilian protection and unhindered access to aid.
The Euro-Med Monitor emphasized the urgent need for special protection of shelters and the establishment of safe humanitarian corridors to ensure the delivery of aid and evacuation of the wounded. The international community must act immediately to halt Israeli attacks, implement effective measures to protect Palestinian civilians, and end the political and military impunity that enables Israel to continue its crimes without accountability.
The United Nations and international relief organizations must take swift and collective action — through all available legal, diplomatic, humanitarian, and on-the-ground channels — to put an end to the Zionist regime’s crimes against the starving population of the Gaza Strip.
