When Guterres pretends to be asleep!

Recently, during the emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council regarding the savage U.S. attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, we witnessed the deliberate and willful inaction of UN Secretary-General António Guterres in response to Washington’s blatant aggression. While some representatives of Security Council member states explicitly condemned the "U.S. violation of Iran’s territorial sovereignty," Guterres chose merely to "describe the situation" and avoid pinpointing the primary instigators of the latest conflict or clearly condemning the Zionist regime and the United States.
This is the very red line that has long overshadowed the covert dynamics of the United Nations and its main and subsidiary bodies. A review of Guterres’s remarks during the UN Security Council session affirms this claim.
At the meeting, António Guterres described the U.S. bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities as a dangerous development in an already volatile region and called for an immediate halt to the conflict and a resumption of serious and sustained negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
The issue is clear: Guterres is pretending to be asleep! He speaks about a crisis deliberately engineered by the vile Zionist regime and the U.S. as though no such context or reality exists—as if a sudden, mysterious, otherworldly attack on the Fordow and Natanz nuclear facilities occurred without any foreign interference! The Secretary-General merely "warns" and emphasizes the "importance of restraint" without addressing the most fundamental prerequisite for confronting a crisis: identifying its roots.
Guterres has once again resorted to his usual tactic: appeasing the killer while urging restraint from the survivors of the murdered! He calls this disgraceful approach “maintaining balance in a crisis,” when in fact, he has deliberately become one of the accelerators of chronic crises within the international system.
For nearly two years, as Washington and Tel Aviv carried out continuous genocide in Gaza, invaded Lebanese territory, and massacred tens of thousands of Palestinian women and children, they never felt the slightest concern over Guterres’s stances. This silence—or at most, toothless UN statements—allowed the illegitimate Zionist regime to continue its slaughter of innocent people unchecked.
In reviewing the case of the blatant U.S. violation of our sacred territory, Guterres once again adopted the same approach. He spoke of the “dangerous situation” and the “importance of controlling it” without making the slightest reference to the root cause of the tension or the key solution to containing it—namely, the joint restraint of the U.S. and the Zionists by the United Nations.
Certainly, neither Trump nor Netanyahu were dissatisfied with Guterres’s speech at the latest Security Council meeting. However, the cost of this sickening approval will be the complete annihilation of the Secretary-General’s claimed independence in the eyes of the global public and informed international observers.
