The Zionist Troika

The three European countries — Germany, the UK, and France — have shown no hesitation in expressing their full alignment with the detested Zionist regime and the infamous American government in their hostility toward Iran. The brazenness of top European politicians has reached a point where Friedrich Merz, the German Chancellor, openly praised the Zionist regime for attacking Iran’s sacred soil and assassinating our martyred commanders, even going so far as to describe America’s attack on the Fordow facility as “natural”!
Following the U.S.’s aggressive strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, countries across the world—from West Asia to Latin America—condemned the attack. Yet, as was expected, the European trio (the UK, France, and Germany), along with the EU’s foreign policy chief, not only failed to condemn this clear violation of international norms, but instead, urged Iran to “return to diplomacy” and rejoin negotiations.
Europe’s total partnership in the war against Iran
The EU foreign policy chief’s stance is a sign of Europe’s peak hostility toward Iran and its people. Following the U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, Kaja Kallas called for de-escalation and a return to negotiations. She wrote on X:
“I urge all parties to step back, return to the negotiating table, and refrain from any further escalation. Iran must not produce nuclear weapons, and EU foreign ministers will discuss the situation on Monday.”
Europe’s strategy—what can be called the Zionist Troika strategy—is now clear: unilaterally contain Iran and create the necessary atmosphere to allow Washington and Tel Aviv to continue their joint crimes. This is the same function Europe assigned itself from the beginning, but due to the current sensitive conditions, it has now fully and overtly manifested.
Remember the Brussels statement?
Officials at Iran’s Foreign Ministry should revisit the so-called “Brussels Statement” issued by then-EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini after Trump’s withdrawal from the JCPOA. At the time, Europe called on Iran to remain in the deal, refrain from retaliation, and promised the following economic benefits:
- Preserve and deepen economic ties with Iran
- Continue oil, gas, condensate, petrochemical sales and related financial interactions
- Enable effective banking transactions
- Maintain land, air, sea, and rail transport relations
- Increase EU export credits and financial channels to support trade and investment
- Implement existing contracts
- Promote investment in Iran
- Protect EU business interests with legal guarantees
- Foster a transparent and regulated economic environment
Now, nearly seven years later, Europe has not taken even a single step to uphold Iran’s rights under the JCPOA. Instead, they’ve openly become the operational arms—or rather, pawns—of Washington and Tel Aviv in their confrontation with Iran.
What is Europe’s mission?
Before the recent U.S.-Israel attacks, Europe’s role was to pressure Iran—covertly and overtly—into unilateral compliance without any sanction’s relief. Now, Europe has removed the mask of diplomacy and is playing an active role in the battlefield and psychological dimensions of the war against Iran.
Using time-buying tactics under the broader “maximum pressure” campaign and abstract mechanisms like SPV and INSTEX, Europe tried to corner Iran. But Iran’s firm stance on its nuclear rights rendered both Europe and the U.S. losers in this equation.
European leaders have repeatedly stated they would not risk their transatlantic security relationship to defend the JCPOA. But now, the situation has escalated: Friedrich Merz brazenly praised the Israeli attack on Iran, calling it a “dirty job” that Israel carried out on behalf of Europe.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Macron has contacted Iranian leaders several times during recent events, demanding that Iran’s missile, nuclear, and regional policies be part of any new agreement. Macron calls this demand “support for diplomacy” to obscure the vulgar nature of Western interests.
The cost Europe must pay
The core issue plaguing both Europe and the U.S. is their inability to realistically assess the costs vs. benefits of their foreign and security policies. This same flawed calculation led them into the Ukraine war and support for Netanyahu’s genocide in Palestine and attacks on Lebanon.
Now, they’ve entered full confrontation with Iran, foolishly believing they can contain a powerful and resilient Iran. But Iran will not only challenge Europe’s calculations in the region—it will turn Europe, like Washington and Tel Aviv, into failed and discredited players on the global stage.
The Zionist Troika (Germany, UK, France) will only realize their defeat when it’s far too late to recover. Now that they’ve chosen an all-out confrontation with Iran’s government and people, they must also be prepared to pay the hard, unimaginable, and unpredictable costs that come with it.
