In memory of Faramarz Hazrati, martyr of Iran's Welfare Organization

The child-killing, cowardly, and brutal Zionist regime, in its recent assault on the sacred soil of Iran, martyred a number of brave sons of this nation. Among these honored martyrs, the name of the oppressed martyr Faramarz Hazrati has drawn significant attention from both domestic and international audiences.
The unjust martyrdom of this hardworking and patriotic colleague in the attack on the Welfare Office building in Qasr-e Shirin stands as undeniable and solid proof of the inherent cruelty of a regime that repeatedly propagates false claims in the media and its information outlets about avoiding attacks on civilian centers.
According to established principles in international law — particularly in humanitarian contexts — attacks on centers providing humanitarian services, such as welfare offices, are categorically prohibited and constitute war crimes. Article 18 of the Fourth Geneva Convention explicitly states:
“Civilian establishments performing humanitarian duties — such as treating the sick or caring for children, the elderly, or the infirm — shall not be the object of attack.”
Condemning such clear crimes is the bare minimum that international organizations must do in defense of the legitimate rights of nations. This principle undoubtedly applies to the case of our honorable colleague martyred at the Qasr-e Shirin Welfare Office. The facts are clear: a civilian service provider was martyred in an illegitimate attack on a humanitarian aid center.
The silence of international organizations regarding the Zionist regime’s attack on the Qasr-e Shirin Welfare Office is utterly unacceptable and unjustifiable.
While the Welfare Organization has always carried the responsibility of supporting vulnerable groups in Iran and promoting dignified, honorable living conditions for them, in the current circumstances, it considers it a duty to enhance the quality and quantity of its services to its dear beneficiaries.
The blood unjustly shed of martyr Faramarz Hazrati, along with that of other martyrs of the recent attacks by the occupying and aggressor Zionist regime, doubles our sense of responsibility. This heinous crime, in violation of all human and international norms, is subject to prosecution in respected legal and judicial institutions within the international system.
The State Welfare Organization will firmly pursue justice and will not relent in its efforts. In particular, we will use the mechanisms available through the United Nations Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court (ICC) to demand the prosecution and punishment of those responsible for this inhumane and barbaric attack.
Here, once again, we honor the memory of all unsung martyrs of the Welfare Organization over the years — especially Martyr Hazrati — and we sincerely pray for the swift recovery of our wounded colleague, Kioumars Sadeqi.
