CNN: Trump is gambling by attacking Iran

CNN added that by targeting Iran’s nuclear program, Trump has attacked not just Iran, but also the Middle East, the U.S., and even his own presidency. Referring to the U.S. strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, the outlet noted that this night could be remembered as a turning point that forever changed the Middle East.
Describing the U.S. attack under the pretext of dismantling Iran’s nuclear program as a gamble, CNN wrote: Despite Trump’s claims of success, if the mission fails, the U.S. president — who often disregards the rule of law — could place both the United States and the world on a disastrous path. There is now a real risk that Iran could retaliate by targeting American forces or civilian infrastructure in the region, escalating the situation into a full-scale war. Thus, the president has seriously endangered global security and his own legacy. With American support for Israel’s attacks on Iran, the consequences of this war are utterly unpredictable.
CNN wrote: A president who came to power promising to end wars may now be the one to start a new one.
One part of the report states: Starting wars is easy, but ending them is difficult — especially in the Middle East, where the idea that U.S. presidents can control the consequences of “shock and awe” military campaigns often seems naive.
