Iran's response to the IAEA Board of Governors’ resolution

The joint statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the AEOI was issued following the adoption of the resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors regarding Iran.
The full text of the statement is as follows:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran condemn the action taken by the United States and three European countries in adopting a resolution at the IAEA Board of Governors. They view this move as a renewed politicization and instrumental use of the Agency, lacking any technical or legal basis.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has always remained committed to its safeguards obligations, and none of the Agency’s reports have ever indicated any non-compliance by Iran or diversion in its nuclear materials or activities.
Although we regard the Agency’s latest report as wholly political and biased, these four countries have gone even further and drafted a resolution whose main content contradicts the very political report issued by the Director General.
Since these countries failed to identify any ambiguity in Iran's ongoing nuclear activities, they turned to allegations dating back more than 25 years, attempting to revive and highlight some of them—despite the fact that all such past claims were officially closed under the IAEA’s November 2015 resolution.
These actions by the four countries come while they remain silent about Israel's continued non-membership in the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and its development of a weapons of mass destruction program, including nuclear weapons. They have also taken no action regarding the threats made by the Israeli regime to attack peaceful nuclear facilities of NPT member states.
Moreover, the United States, the United Kingdom, and France have failed to fulfill their disarmament obligations under Article VI of the NPT, while Germany continues to host these deadly and inhumane weapons.
This move by the four countries seriously undermines the credibility and integrity of the International Atomic Energy Agency and further reveals the political nature of this international body. This politicized approach toward a country that has consistently honored its commitments and cooperated extensively with the Agency only leads us to conclude that the policy of engagement and cooperation yields adverse results.
In this regard, we thank the member states of the Board of Governors who voted against or abstained from the resolution, and we strongly condemn the political action of the countries that voted in favor of it.
As we have previously stated, the Islamic Republic of Iran has no choice but to respond to this political resolution.
Accordingly, necessary instructions have been issued by the head of the Atomic Energy Organization to establish a new enrichment facility at a secure location and to replace the first-generation centrifuges at the Shahid Dr. Ali Mohammadi (Fordow) enrichment center with advanced sixth-generation machines.
Further measures are also being planned and will be announced in due course.
