Gaza war serves Netanyahu’s personal interests

The Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Wednesday, quoting an officer from Unit 8200, the largest unit of the Israeli military’s intelligence agency (Aman) responsible for cyber warfare, saying: “I refused to return to reserve duty, and the war in the Gaza Strip is being conducted for Netanyahu’s personal interests.”
The officer added: “Netanyahu has lost the trust of Israelis, and he has taken an entire cabinet hostage for his personal interests.”
The Israeli intelligence officer further stated: “We decided not to comply with military orders, as there are doubts and uncertainties regarding them at this stage of the war.”
The Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth had previously reported that dozens of reserve officers from the Israeli occupying army signed a petition urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, War Minister Yisrael Katz, and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to reach an agreement for a prisoner exchange and to end the war in Gaza.
The newspaper added that these officers, in their petition addressed to the Israeli regime’s cabinet, emphasized their refusal to participate in military service due to the undemocratic nature of the cabinet.
According to the report, 41 reserve officers of the occupying regime’s army signed the petition, describing the continuation of the war against the Gaza Strip as a political rather than a security-driven action.
The report further noted that in part of the petition, the Zionist officers criticized the decision to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip.
