Eslami: Iran will take operational and executive actions immediately upon the issuance of a resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors

Mohammad Eslami, Vice President and head of the AEOI, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting, in response to a question from Mizan about Iran’s reaction to a potential resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors, said: “As in the past, we will take operational and executive actions immediately upon the issuance of the resolution.”
The AEOI chief, regarding the recent IAEA report on Iran’s nuclear issue, stated: “The legitimate expectation is that the IAEA’s reports should be professional, technical, and within the framework of regulations and based on the obligations defined in the Agency’s statute. The IAEA’s report is biased, follows the pressure campaign, and is highly political, and the resolution is illogical, untechnical, and unlawful.”
He emphasized: “Whenever the other parties take a confrontational approach, we will certainly respond in kind. We do not accept any illegal or unlawful behavior. Iran has always acted voluntarily and in good faith in its interactions with the IAEA and these countries. We strongly recommend that they abandon this approach and refrain from further damaging the credibility and reputation of the United Nations institution.”
The Vice President, rejecting the claims of IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi regarding Iran’s lack of cooperation, said: “Such a thing has no basis in reality. Our facilities are registered, and our activities are documented according to the design plan. All documentation is available, and there is not a single case of non-compliance. These are the result of a Zionist agenda.”
Eslami further announced: “The Ministry of Intelligence, with the program it has devised, will report that the United States and the three European countries are continuously working on the nuclear weapons of the Zionist regime while accusing the Islamic Republic.”
The Vice President also announced: “Four articles in the Seventh Development Plan address atomic energy, one of which pertains to energy. We will triple the capacity of nuclear power plants by the end of the Seventh Plan, increasing the current 1,000 megawatts to 3,000 megawatts.”
The AEOI chief, regarding indirect negotiations with the United States, stated: “The behavior in the IAEA Board of Governors and indirect negotiations are two distinct yet interrelated matters. Negotiations have been held with the Europeans simultaneously, and interactions are ongoing with friendly and aligned countries. Our maximum effort and goal are to lift the unjust sanctions and remove this burden from our country.”
He emphasized: “The important point is that all negotiations and interactions are aimed at lifting sanctions. The day the other parties show their good faith, come with sincerity, and demonstrate seriousness in lifting sanctions, the Islamic Republic will also take appropriate decisions and actions.”
