Deadly ambush by resistance groups in Khan Younis
According to Al-Aqsa Network, following the announcement of a unique operation by Palestinian resistance in the southern Gaza Strip, Zionist sources stated that initial reports indicate five Israeli soldiers were killed in the ambush by resistance forces in Khan Younis. Additionally, two soldiers were severely injured, and several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The Hebrew website Hadashot Bezman reported that five soldiers were killed in this resistance operation, with two of the injured in critical condition and in a coma.
According to Zionist media, military operations in Khan Younis are ongoing, with several Israeli soldiers trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building.
Simultaneously, Zionist sources reported a new security incident in eastern Jabalia, stating that the Israeli army is transferring the bodies and wounded from this incident to medical centers.
Earlier today, Zionist news sources acknowledged a “serious security incident” targeting Israeli army forces in eastern Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to these reports, Israeli army support and evacuation units came under heavy fire from Palestinian resistance forces during the clashes.
Sources stated that the operation targeted an elite Israeli military unit, and the evacuation of casualties is being conducted with air support and under heavy artillery fire.
Zionist media described the incident as “extremely severe and deadly,” noting that elite and special forces were caught in a dangerous ambush.
Reports indicate that four evacuation helicopters have landed at Ichilov, Beilinson, and Soroka hospitals, transferring the bodies of the deceased and the wounded.
To facilitate the evacuation and conceal the extent of casualties, Israeli warplanes have deployed extensive smoke bombs to cover the conflict area in eastern Khan Younis.
Following the incident, Zionist media reported an increase in the number of Israeli army fatalities after a booby-trapped building exploded in the Khan Younis area in southern Gaza.
According to the report, a special forces unit consisting of 12 soldiers was inside the building at the time of the explosion, with most or all of them either injured or killed.
Based on updated Zionist sources, at least 10 wounded soldiers have been transferred to hospitals in the occupied territories, a figure that suggests a potential increase in Israeli casualties in the coming hours.
It has also been reported that the building completely collapsed due to the explosion, leaving several soldiers still trapped under the rubble.
These developments come as Palestinian resistance has repeatedly warned in recent weeks that it will respond forcefully to any new Zionist aggression or advances in the southern Gaza Strip.
