40 Russian warplanes targeted in Ukrainian drone attack

According to the Kyiv Independent newspaper, the Ukrainian Security Service’s drone operation targeted “over 40” Russian bombers at airbases.
A Ukrainian source told the outlet: “The enemy’s strategic bombers are burning en masse in Russia. Currently, the Ukrainian Security Service is conducting an extensive special operation to destroy enemy bomber aircraft.”
Ukrainian media also released videos of the drone attack, showing footage of some aircraft engulfed in flames. According to the Kyiv Independent, strategic bombers such as the Tupolev-95 were damaged, with potential losses exceeding $2 billion for Russia.
In Moscow’s first official response to the news, the governor of Murmansk in Russia’s Arctic region announced that the area had come under a drone attack.
