Netanyahu Hospitalized

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office announced today (Friday) that Benjamin Netanyahu has been hospitalized at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem to undergo a colonoscopy.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office, during the procedure, Netanyahu's powers have been temporarily transferred to Yariv Levin, the Minister of Justice of the regime. This decision was made following a telephone vote among cabinet ministers and came into effect at 6:00 a.m. local time today.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, has been hospitalized several times in recent years for various medical reasons.
He also underwent a colonoscopy in 2020. During that procedure, which was performed under anesthesia, two polyps were removed, and his duties were temporarily handed over to then-Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz.
In December 2023, Netanyahu underwent another significant medical intervention—a prostate surgery.
