Iranian embassy in India: Case of missing 3 Indian citizens under investigation

The Iranian Embassy in India issued a statement on the social media platform X regarding the disappearance of three Indian citizens following their travel to Iran.
The embassy’s statement reads: "The case of the disappearance of three Indian nationals is being pursued by the Consular Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in coordination with the relevant judicial authorities. The Indian Embassy in Tehran is also being kept informed of the progress within the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran through coordination with the Consular Affairs Department."
The Iranian Embassy in India further stated: "Given the nature of this incident, Indian citizens are advised not to fall for the promises of unauthorized individuals or illegal Indian agencies offering travel to other countries."
The Indian Embassy in Iran, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, reported the disappearance of three Indian nationals after their arrival in Iran, stating that these individuals entered Iran on May 1 but went missing shortly after arriving in Tehran.
The embassy also noted that efforts to locate these individuals are ongoing.
