Release of two Iranian nationals from Saudi prisons

Alireza Shasti Karimi, Director General of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is currently in Saudi Arabia, stated in an interview: "Two detained Iranian citizens in Medina have been released."
Referring to the intensive efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to follow up on the status of these two Iranian nationals, he said: "These efforts led to the release of Mr. Qasemian and Mr. Nadimi in the early hours of this morning."
The Director General of Consular Affairs noted: "The foreign policy apparatus, within the framework of its inherent duties to support Iranian nationals anywhere in the world, spares no effort."
Shasti Karimi also stated: "The Foreign Minister showed special attention to this matter, both in terms of supporting nationals and safeguarding Iran-Saudi relations."
He attributed the release of the two detained Iranian nationals in Saudi Arabia to the collective efforts of Iran’s embassy and consulate general in Riyadh and Jeddah, as well as the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
Shasti Karimi also expressed appreciation for the good cooperation of the relevant Saudi authorities in this regard.
