Widespread campaign in the UK to halt arms sales to Israel
Through this grassroots initiative, which began in recent days via the PSC’s official website, British citizens can enter their postal code to draft and send an official letter to their Members of Parliament. The letter, citing official statements from human rights organizations and public sentiment, urges MPs to pressure the government to stop arms exports to Israel.
They have also called on MPs to support a motion to halt arms exports to Israel, demanding the immediate suspension of all UK export licenses to the Zionist regime.
The campaign comes as pressure mounts on the UK government to reassess its military and economic ties with Israel. Last Friday, hundreds of Palestine supporters gathered outside the Prime Minister’s office on Downing Street, calling on the government to end arms sales to Israel. Participants in the rally held photos of victims and placards with messages such as “Sanction Israel” and “Silence is Complicity,” demanding an immediate end to military cooperation with Tel Aviv.
