Israel seizes control of 77% of Gaza Strip
The office reported that the Israeli regime’s army has taken control of 77% of the Gaza Strip’s territory, achieved through ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, and extensive military operations.
The Palestinian news agency Ma’an published this news, stating that based on field data and provided analyses, the Israeli army has dominated large parts of the region through ground advances, establishing presence in residential areas, enforcing heavy firepower control that prevents Palestinian citizens from returning to their homes, and implementing stringent forced evacuation policies.
This situation has forced tens of thousands of Palestinians to repeatedly flee their homes under the threat of attacks and bombardments.
The statement further noted that this form of forced control and domination, which relies on military force to displace the land’s original inhabitants, constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
According to international law, these actions represent a systematic violation of justice and human rights principles, particularly under Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention (1949), which prohibits the forced displacement or collective evacuation of civilian populations in occupied territories.
