Iran confirms fifth round of talks with the U.S. in Rome

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the fifth round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States will take place on Friday.

Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed Iran’s agreement to a proposal put forward by Oman, following its consultations, to hold another round of Iran-U.S. talks on Friday in Rome, the capital of Italy.
He emphasized: "The Islamic Republic of Iran's negotiating delegation remains resolute and steadfast in pursuing the rights and supreme interests of the Iranian nation to benefit from peaceful nuclear energy, including enrichment, and to lift unjust sanctions, sparing no effort or initiative in this regard."
