Doha: Gaza ceasefire talks fail to reach agreement

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, stated that “negotiations regarding Gaza have not yet yielded results because fundamental differences between the parties persist.”
Speaking at the Qatar Economic Forum, he added that the core gap between the two sides’ positions remains unbridged: one side demands a complete end to the war and a comprehensive agreement, while the other seeks a partial deal.
The Qatari Prime Minister described Israel’s actions in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, and Lebanon as “unacceptable” and emphasized Doha’s ongoing commitment to mediation efforts for peace.
Referring to Qatar’s efforts to end the war, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stressed that, despite these endeavors, opportunities for reaching a solution continue to face serious obstacles and challenges, and the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Gaza persists.
