Golan’s statements on Gaza crimes ignite political firestorm in Israel

According to Al Jazeera, Yair Golan stated: “Israel is on its way to becoming an outcast state. A rational government does not wage war on civilians, does not kill infants for amusement, and does not set goals to displace residents.”
Per Al Jazeera’s report, he added: “The Israeli government is filled with unethical and vengeful figures incapable of managing a ‘state’ in times of crisis.”
In response, Israel Katz, the Zionist regime’s Minister of war, said: “Anyone who compares Israel to Nazis and tarnishes its image and that of its army during wartime should be sidelined.”
Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, stated: “Every false statement against our army harms our soldiers and the state’s security.”
Isaac Kroizer, a member of the Knesset (Israeli parliament), called for Golan to be prosecuted over his remarks.
Benny Gantz, head of the National Unity party, demanded that Golan retract his statements, adding: “These remarks endanger the freedom of our soldiers under international law.”
The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Golan’s statements have triggered a political storm.
Shlomo Karhi, the Zionist regime’s Minister of Communications, said: “With these remarks, he undermines efforts to achieve the war’s objectives.”
Gideon Sa’ar, the Zionist regime’s Foreign Minister, stated: “Golan’s remarks are unforgivable and fuel the fire of antisemitism.”
Yair Lapid, leader of the Zionist regime’s opposition, said: “I condemn Golan’s statements and support the army.”
The Zionist regime’s Energy Minister remarked: “Golan is a despicable person who harms the Israeli state and fuels antisemitism. He should be charged with dangerous incitement against the state.”
The Knesset Speaker also stated: “Golan has ignited a fire that burns Jewish communities.”
