Araghchi: The Supreme Leader clarified the matter today

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, on Tuesday, May 20, commented on the contradictory positions of the Americans and recent statements by U.S. officials regarding the issue of enrichment, saying, "What we are witnessing now are completely unreasonable and illogical positions taken by the Americans over the past few days, openly expressed, which were met with our immediate response."
He asserted, "The issue of enrichment is absolutely not something we consider negotiable."
The head of Iran’s diplomacy stated, "I gave a clear response a few days ago, and today, I believe the Supreme Leader completely clarified the matter."
Araghchi added, "We entered negotiations based on our principles and positions that secure the rights of the Iranian people, and we will not compromise on these rights under any circumstances."
The Supreme Leader, during a ceremony commemorating the martyrs of service, stated today, "There was talk of negotiations, and I have a warning for the other side. The American side, which engages in these indirect negotiations and discussions, should avoid making nonsensical statements. To say that we will not allow Iran to pursue enrichment is utterly absurd. No one is waiting for anyone’s permission. The Islamic Republic has its own policy and approach, and it pursues its own policy."
