“Israel takes revenge on hospitals”
According to SAMA news agency, Mohammad Abu Salima, director general of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, said in a statement: The occupying regime takes revenge on hospitals to hinder the treatment of patients and the injured.
He noted that the number of patients and injured is extremely high, and the hospital lacks the capacity to provide adequate services.
Abu Salima added: In just four days, 500 martyrs and over 1,000 injured were transferred to this hospital.
The director general of Al-Shifa Hospital emphasized: The Zionist regime deliberately targets the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip and kills the people of this region. Two hours ago, two kidney patients died due to a lack of medical equipment.
Meanwhile, news sources report that the Indonesian Hospital in the town of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza is under siege by tanks and armored vehicles of the occupying army, with gunfire directed at the hospital. Communication with medical staff and patients inside has been cut off.
Additionally, bulldozers of the occupiers demolished the northern wall of the Indonesian Hospital after besieging it and launching heavy attacks on the facility.
At the same time, Munir Al-Barsh, director general of Gaza’s Ministry of Health, told Al Jazeera: The occupiers target hospitals and patients. They fired at the intensive care unit of the Indonesian Hospital. We hope that aid, medicine, and medical equipment can reach us urgently through the crossings.
