Protests against Israeli Foreign Minister’s presence in Japan
A video circulated on social media, also covered by Zionist media outlets such as Kan Network, shows that on Wednesday, pro-Palestinian demonstrators assembled outside the location of Sa’ar’s press conference. Some protesters even attempted to enter the venue.
The gathered protesters, carrying Palestinian flags as seen in the video, were demonstrating against the presence of the Israeli Foreign Minister. One protester tried to breach the security barrier but was removed from the area by security personnel.
Some demonstrators also held up an image of Sa’ar with blood-stained hands, bearing the slogan “war criminal.”
Gideon Sa’ar arrived in Tokyo on Tuesday, marking the first visit by an Israeli Foreign Minister to Japan in 15 years. During his meeting with his Japanese counterpart, Iwaya Takeshi, Sa’ar praised bilateral relations, while Iwaya urged the Israeli regime to adhere to international law.
Iwaya expressed “serious concern” about the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza, particularly the civilian casualties resulting from the resumption of the Israeli regime’s military operations.
