Israeli concerns over losses from suspension of foreign flights at Ben Gurion Airport
According to SAMA news agency, the CEO of the Zionist company “Signal” commented on the suspension of flights by several foreign airlines to Ben Gurion Airport following a missile attack by the Yemeni army, stating: “We hope airlines do not further suspend their flights to Israel (occupied territories), as this causes significant losses and leads to price increases.”
He noted that determining when operations will resume for companies operating in the occupied territories, which are closely monitoring the situation, is challenging.
In this context, the Yemen Operations Coordination Center announced: “We have informed the International Civil Aviation Organization and the International Air Transport Association that the airports of the Israeli enemy are constantly targeted by Yemen’s armed forces, and they must coordinate with the relevant parties.”
Meanwhile, the American company Delta also suspended its flights to the occupied territories for two days. Previously, Air Europa, Spain’s third-largest airline, canceled all its flights from Madrid to Tel Aviv following Yemen’s attack on Ben Gurion Airport and the Yemeni armed forces’ declaration of an aerial blockade on the occupying regime.
Zionist media had earlier reported the cancellation of flights by 20 major international airlines to the occupied territories.
In a related development, the spokesperson for Yemen’s armed forces issued a statement warning foreign airlines to refrain from flying to the occupied territories. The statement outlined that Yemen’s army will enforce the blockade by repeatedly targeting Zionist regime airports, particularly Lod Airport, which Zionists refer to as Ben Gurion.
The Yemeni army also called on all international airlines to take the statement seriously and, from the time of its issuance, cancel flights to airports controlled by the Israeli regime to ensure the safety of their aircraft and passengers.
The statement concluded: “Yemen will not allow the enemy to continue its aggressions against Arab countries like Lebanon and Syria or impose a situation where it feels entitled to carry out such attacks.”
