Flight cancellations to Tel Aviv after Yemen missile attack

According to Al Jazeera, an immediate response from international airlines began after Ben Gurion Airport was targeted by a ballistic missile launched from Yemen.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported that Swiss, Australian, and German airlines, have decided to suspend or cancel their flights to Tel Aviv.
Additionally, airlines in Switzerland and Austria announced that they will not operate any flights to the occupied territories in the coming hours.
Following the Yemeni missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport, the following airlines have so far suspended their flights to Ben Gurion Airport:
- Lufthansa (Germany)
- Transavia (Netherlands)
- Austrian Airlines (Austria)
- Swiss International Air Lines (Switzerland)
- Spanair (Spain)
- Ryanair (Ireland)
- Delta Air Lines (United States)
Israel’s Channel 13 also reported that these decisions were made due to growing concerns about the airport’s security and the inability of Israel’s air defense systems to intercept missiles. Airlines have requested clarification and a new assessment of the flight situation in the region.
This wave of flight cancellations is considered a significant blow to Israel’s international security reputation.
Concurrently, news sources reported a postponement of the Israeli security cabinet meeting. According to the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the meeting has been delayed until 7 p.m. local time.
