60% of Gaza’s children suffer from malnutrition

According to Al Jazeera, the director of Gaza’s hospitals stated that approximately 60,000 children are affected by malnutrition due to the blockade imposed by the Israeli regime, which prevents the entry of essential medical supplies, leading to famine in the region.
He added that the death toll among kidney failure patients has risen because Israel prohibits their exit from Gaza. He urged international organizations to act immediately to stop these crimes and end the blockade, warning that Gaza’s healthcare system is on the verge of complete collapse.
Concurrently, Gaza’s specialized Al-Kuwait Hospital warned that, due to the two-month closure of border crossings, food and essential medications for patients are in severe shortage. The hospital’s director, located in Rafah, noted that Gaza faces a critical shortage of over 75% of essential drugs, putting the ability to provide medical services at risk.
Previously, Mohamed Mahmoud Mehran, a professor of international law and member of the American and European Legal Association, emphasized that the ongoing and unprecedented starvation in Gaza over the past two months constitutes a deliberate war crime by the Israeli regime against Gaza’s residents, with full legal responsibility falling on the occupiers.
He stated that what is happening in Gaza is the planned starvation of over two million Palestinians, violating the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit the use of starvation as a method of warfare against civilians.
Mehran further stressed that the Israeli blockade, intensified over the past two months, and the deliberate prevention of aid constitute a collective war crime, especially since Israeli authorities have openly spoken of starving Gaza’s population.
