Red Cross: Gaza on the brink of humanitarian collapse

According to Al Jazeera, the ICRC expressed deep concern over the dire and critical conditions in Gaza.
The statement highlighted that the worsening security situation in Gaza has severely disrupted the operations of Red Cross staff and partners, with multiple obstacles hindering access to affected civilians.
The ICRC emphasized that medical personnel and facilities in Gaza must be protected and supported under all circumstances. It warned that if the blockade continues and the delivery of humanitarian aid is not urgently resumed, vital programs such as field hospitals and charitable kitchens operated by the Red Cross will soon cease.
The organization noted that Gaza’s hospitals are currently facing severe shortages of food, medicine, and other essential supplies, with some critical data-x-items completely depleted.
The ICRC stressed that if aid does not arrive immediately, these medical facilities will be unable to continue providing services.
The Red Cross also held the Israeli regime responsible for meeting the needs of civilians under occupation, stating that the people of Gaza are facing a daily struggle for survival amid bombardment, displacement, and a lack of aid.
This warning comes as international efforts to establish a ceasefire and open humanitarian corridors remain unsuccessful.
Field reports indicate that many areas of Gaza are experiencing severe shortages of food, medicine, and healthcare services, with international relief organizations reporting an inability to effectively distribute aid.
