“We must be vigilant about future threats in Iraq”

In an interview with Mizan, Abdul-Karim Khalaf referred to the events that have taken place in Iraq in recent weeks and emphasized:

“Attacks by unidentified drones on Iraqi territory, the downing of a drone in Sulaymaniyah province, and certain incidents that undermine Iraq’s security are all factors that pave the way for conspiracies aimed at destabilizing our country. These must be analyzed and recognized as signs or preludes to events that may occur in the future. Such incidents reveal that those threatening Iraq’s security are seeking to prepare the ground for actions against our country and its stability.”

The senior military expert further noted:

“The current security and political developments in Iraq cannot be separated from regional developments—particularly the Israeli regime’s attack against Iran.”
