Israeli media: Haifa refinery severely damaged in Iranian missile strike
Senior officials of the Israeli regime approved an emergency plan for the rapid reconstruction of the Bazaan oil refinery in Haifa Bay, which sustained significant damage from Iranian missile attacks.
The Haifa refinery, which supplies about two-thirds of Israel's fuel consumption, is considered a critical facility. It was reported that key components — especially the main power plant, pipelines, and operational infrastructure — were severely affected by the Iranian strikes.
According to Israel Defense, the Israeli regime has issued a draft emergency order concerning the refinery.
The report adds that the reconstruction plan includes comprehensive environmental measures to address the pollution caused by the missile attack.
Israel Defense disclosed that due to the significant damage inflicted on the vital Bazaan refinery, and amid growing concerns over a looming energy crisis, the Israeli cabinet has issued an urgent directive for its swift restoration.
