Shocking documents expose Israeli soldiers behind Hind Rajab’s death
An investigation by the program “Ma Khafiya A ‘tham” (“What Is Hidden Is More Horrific”) has revealed new evidence after months of silence, publishing documents containing the names and photographs of roughly 30,000 pilots, officers, and soldiers of the so-called “Vampire Unit” in the Israeli Air Force.
These individuals participated in the Gaza war and were directly involved in the killing of Hind Rajab, her family members, and the paramedics who tried to rescue them. The Israeli army also killed the paramedics who, after receiving Hind’s plea for help through the Palestinian Red Crescent, rushed to save her.
Legal sources in Brussels stated that these documents could serve as evidence for prosecuting those responsible for war crimes — particularly as there exists both audio and visual proof confirming the deliberate killing of unarmed civilians, including a child.
At the Hind Rajab Institute, founded in Brussels in memory of the young Palestinian martyr, a media team began examining the evidence related to this atrocity — an investigation that has since become a nightmare for the Israeli soldiers involved.
The findings include exclusive documents proving that the “Vampire Empire Company” — a subunit of the 52nd Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade, commanded by Benny Aharon — carried out the massacre.
Orders to fire were issued directly by Shon Glass, the unit commander, from inside the tank that targeted the Rajab family’s car. As a result, Hind, her mother, and other relatives were killed, followed by the paramedics who came to rescue them.
The documents also revealed that several Israeli soldiers with foreign nationalities participated in the attack, including Itay Shukerkov, an Argentine-born soldier, and Shimon Zuckerman, of German origin. The Hind Rajab Institute has filed a complaint in European courts against Zuckerman, seeking prosecution of those responsible for the crime.
The report also identified Brigadier General Benny Aharon, commander of the 401st Armored Brigade, and Brigadier General Daniel Ela, commander of the 52nd Battalion, as among those directly involved.
In May, the Hind Rajab Human Rights Foundation announced it had filed a case against Benny Aharon before the International Criminal Court (ICC) for committing war crimes and bearing responsibility for the killing of the Palestinian child.
According to Shehab News Agency, the investigation team, working with Goldsmiths, University of London, used satellite imagery, audio analysis, and geolocation data to reconstruct the scene of the crime with precise timing. They concluded that the Rajab family’s vehicle was struck 335 times, with the rounds fired from an Israeli tank located only 23 meters away.
The investigation formally rejected Israel’s fabricated narrative of an armed clash, proving that the shooting was one-sided, conducted at an average rate of 900 rounds per second. This means the Rajab family was not caught in crossfire, but rather directly targeted by an armored vehicle that opened fire without pause on a small civilian car attempting to save its children.
The results confirmed that the Rajab family did not fire a single shot — they were all positioned in front of the tank’s barrel and deliberately targeted.
The massacre occurred in late January 2024, when six-year-old Hind Rajab, after witnessing the killing of her family members, made a desperate call for help. Her relatives contacted the Palestinian Red Crescent, but as the ambulance approached the scene, it too was targeted and destroyed by Israeli forces, killing the paramedics inside.
