Fabricated hunger strike: A new plot by anti-Iran media involving major drug traffickers and violent armed robbers

In recent days, claims of a hunger strike by several prisoners convicted of large-scale drug trafficking and violent armed robbery have dominated the headlines of anti-Iranian media outlets and their affiliated social media accounts.

Investigations indicate that the alleged hunger strike took place in certain wards of Qezel Hesar Prison, which houses major drug traffickers and dangerous armed criminals.

Many of these individuals have destroyed countless families through large-scale drug distribution, while others have endangered public safety with violent crimes and armed robberies.

But what is the truth?

Opposition groups have long sought to launch media attacks and exert pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran by exploiting various segments of society. This time, drug traffickers and armed robbers caught by the law have become the main actors in a new propaganda scenario orchestrated by anti-Iran networks.

Images circulated online appear to show a group of prisoners sitting in a corridor, supposedly on a hunger strike. However, shortly after the staged scene was recorded, the prisoners are seen spreading food and eating, ending the so-called strike.

According to CCTV footage recorded on the night of Friday, October 17, the inmates were seen in the ward’s prayer hall eating sandwiches for dinner.

Additional footage from Sunday afternoon, October 19 shows lunch being distributed and consumed by the prisoners, disproving claims of a hunger strike.
