Humanitarian aid convoys begin entering Gaza via Rafah

At 6 a.m. on Sunday, 400 trucks loaded with various humanitarian supplies began moving from the Rafah crossing toward the Kerem Shalom and Al-Auja crossings to enter the Gaza Strip.

According to an Al Arabiya correspondent reporting Sunday morning, the entry of food and humanitarian aid trucks from Rafah toward the Kerem Shalom and Al-Auja crossings — and from there into Gaza — has officially begun.

Images from the scene show the 400 trucks departing Rafah at dawn to deliver desperately needed aid to Gaza.

During the first hour, 90 trucks crossed from the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing toward Kerem Shalom and Al-Auja, preparing to enter the besieged enclave.

This marks the first time since March that humanitarian aid has also been sent through the Al-Auja crossing, due to the large number of aid trucks scheduled to enter Gaza.

Coordination is also underway among all parties to reopen Rafah from the Palestinian side on Tuesday, allowing for the evacuation of wounded, injured, and sick Palestinians from Gaza, as well as the passage of Palestinian citizens, foreign nationals, dual nationals, and stranded individuals currently in Egypt.
